Contacts That Fit Like a Well Tailored Suit

Advanced contact lens service is a unique offering by our clinic where specialised hard contact lenses are made to correct vision in individuals with uniquely shaped corneas.

If you have been referred for hard contact lenses book now for an initial consultation with our advanced contact lens practitioner Howie Yin

Individuals who suffer from Kerataconus or other forms of corneal conditions experience reduced and distorted vision as the irregularly shaped surface of the eye has trouble focusing light onto the retina. Often they would complain about severe increased sensitivity to light and glare which is worse at night as the cornea scatters any incoming light. This can directly affect their ability to drive, go to the movies or even recognize faces of their loved ones. In some cases it can even cause double vision!

Not all hope is lost! These individuals can benefit from hard contact lenses or more accurately known as Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses as it can improve vision significantly when compared to just traditional spectacle correction.

Ever woken up with a piece of hair sticking out and reached for a hat? RGPs are like hats for the cornea which sit directly on the front surface to cover the corneal irregularities. RGPs when fitted by an advanced contact lens professional are safe, comfortable and can be worn all day to improve vision.

Just like shoes or a tailored suit, everybody’s corneas are differently shaped, so if you or someone you know or have been referred by another optometrist/ophthalmologist requires advanced contact lenses, ring us or make a booking online for an initial consultation.
