Overnight Correction
Orthokeratology (Ortho K) lenses are specially designed hard contact lenses worn overnight with the goal to gently reshape the cornea to correct myopia. Crucially, the way the cornea is temporarily moulded by the lens also creates peripheral myopic defocus which sends altered growth signals to the eyeball to slow down axial elongation. The efficacy of Ortho K lenses in slowing down the growth of the eyeball paired with the benefits of being spectacle free makes it one of the most popular modern techniques of myopia control at the moment.
